Leakster Digital Chat Station has recently shared that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 will arrive in two variants – a base version and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro model.
This comes a couple of months after the release of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Yes, this leak is pretty early.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro – Report
Digital Chat Station reveals that both chipsets will be built on the N2p process of TSMC. Moreover, it features a 2+3+3 core configuration.

Where the two variants allegedly differ is in the GPU specifications and their RAM. The Pro will be the only one to support LPDDR6 memory. It is also likely that the core clock speeds will be higher on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro.
Another report mentions that the new manufacturing process and better memory on the Pro variant could mean higher costs for flagships using this chipset.
If these reports are accurate, could the base Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 version be considered a premium midrange chipset? Or will the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro create a premium flagship that is totally different from the flagship market?
There’s so much time to go before the launch of the next-generation chipset from Qualcomm.
