The Social Security System (SSS) has officially launched the MySSS Card, a new multi-purpose Pay Card designed to enhance financial convenience and security.. The initiative marks the phaseout of the generic UMID Cards and UMID Pay Cards previously used for benefit and loan disbursements.
MySSS Card
The MySSS Card serves a dual purpose: it acts as a valid government-issued ID and a fully functional bank account. The new card is equipped with an EMV (Europay, Mastercard, and Visa) chip for reliable identity verification and functions as an ATM. This system aligns the SSS identification process with the country’s National ID (PhilSys).

The new card’s enhanced features allow for faster and more secure transactions, enabling members to use it for seamless banking, as well as for payments in both physical and online stores. Once issued, the MySSS Card will automatically become the default disbursement account, redirecting all future benefits, monthly pensions, and loans to the new card, offering greater ease to SSS members.
All SSS members, including pensioners and beneficiaries, are eligible to apply. Applicants must have an active Social Security number, a My.SSS Portal account with updated contact details, and be registered with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) or PhilSys. Applications are filed online through the My.SSS Member Portal or a Participating Financial Institution.
