The Toyota Mobility Foundation (TMF), Toyota Motor Philippines Foundation (TMP Foundation), and Philippine General Hospital (PGH) have launched the Shuttle Service, a component of the Healthcare Mobility for All (“HEAL”) Program. This service offers safe, reliable transportation for PGH healthcare professionals, especially during challenging late-night and early-morning shifts, to address commuting difficulties.
“Through our bespoke Shuttle Services, we are providing greater opportunity for healthcare professionals to focus on their vital role of patient care, while addressing the burden of inconvenient and inefficient commutes.”
Mr. Pras Ganesh, Toyota Mobility Foundation Executive Program Director
Toyota Mobility Foundation – Healthcare Mobility for All (HEAL) Program
Three UV-based Toyota shuttles will serve PGH employees on the Fairview, Paliparan, and SM Dasma routes during late-night and early-morning hours. Each 12-seater shuttle is projected to complete at least two daily trips to support staff commuting home or arriving for early shifts.
This initiative, running from September 2025 to December 2026, aims to offer safe and dependable transportation, prioritizing staff on critical shifts and the most in-demand routes.

Later this year, shuttle operations will introduce a smart booking system to enable advance seat reservations. This digital platform aims to simplify, secure, and efficiently manage bookings, optimize routes for rider pooling, and reduce emissions. The program is anticipated to facilitate tens of thousands of safe commutes, offering benefits such as decreased travel time, reduced emissions, and improved safety and convenience for healthcare professionals.
The Shuttle Service is implemented in partnership with Toyota Mobility Solutions Philippines (TMSPH) as mobility partner, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) as engagement partner, and the Deloitte Future of Mobility Solution Centre as development and implementation partner.
