Nothing has officially unveiled the Nothing Ear (3), the successor to the Nothing Ear released last year. The Ear (3) has a fresh design and a new Super Mic feature.

Nothing Ear (3)

The Nothing Ear (3) features a tweaked rounder shape for its earbuds and charging case and a more metallic feel to both, mimicking the design philosophy of the Nothing Phone (3) and Headphone (1).

Nothing Ear (3) launch earbuds

The earbuds features a slightly larger 12mm dynamic driver than the Ear with a PMI + TPU diaphragm. Nothing also brings Static Spatial Audio to the Ear (3), a first for the company.

What’s more unique though isn’t quite on the earbuds, it’s on the charging case. It features what the company calls a Super Mic. You can use the charging case a separate mic from while taking your calls or even recording voice messages. You can use it with the Talk button and it has an LED to tell you when it’s on.

Going back to the earbuds, they have 3 MEMS mics on each bud and 1 VPU mic each for Active Nosie Cancellation and Transparency mode.

Nothing Ear (3) launch Black

The earbuds are equipped with 55mAh cells that are said to offer up to 5.5 hours with ANC on with AAC and up to 3.5 hours with LDAC. The charging case has a 500mAh battery that is said to offer 5 minutes of playback on the earbuds with a 1-hour charge.

The charging case has also been updated with an aluminum design while retaining the transparent lid. Both the earbuds and the case are rated at IP54 water and dust resistant.
