Fujifilm introduced the FUJINON XF23mmF2.8 R WR lens, the latest member of the XF lens series for the company’s X series mirrorless digital cameras. This was introduced alongside the Fujifilm X-E5 compact camera.

The FUJINON XF23mmF2.8 R WR lens is an ultra-compact and lightweight lens with a focal length of 23mm or equivalent to 35mm in 35mm format. The lens weighs around 90g and has a length of 23mm.

The XF23mmF2.8 r WR lens adopts 8-elements in 6 group lens with two aspherical lenses to minimize aberrations from the center to the periphery. Moreover, it was built with the latest lens processing technology to achieve a more compact design.
It also features 11 aperture blades that allow you to enjoy snapshots that highlight the subject with circular bokeh effects.

The new lens is compatible with the 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor and it is versatile enough to handle standard, wide-angle, close-up, and other types of photography. As far as close-up photography goes, it has a minimum object distance of 20cm.
The lens has a powerful DC motor to achieve high-speed autofocus. Meanwhile, an MF ring is equipped with a high-precision sensor that enables MF adjustments even with a small number of revolutions.

The lens barrel is dustproof, drip-proof, and resistant to temperatures as low as -10°C with 9 sealing points on each part of the barrel, meaning you can use it safely in light rain and dusty environments.
