Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi A5 to the Philippine market, offering upgraded features at an accessible price point. The new model boasts significant upgrades, with improvements spanning design, camera capabilities, display technology, and overall performance.

The Redmi A5 showcases a contemporary aesthetic with its sleek flat frame design and elevated camera module featuring a metallic-feel surround. It measures just 8.26mm in thickness, providing a comfortable grip while maintaining a sophisticated appearance.

Available in four distinct colorways—Midnight Black and Sandy Gold with its matte and smudge-resistant finishes, and Lake Green and Ocean Blue with nature-inspired veined patterns resembling water ripples—the smartphone offers options to suit various personal preferences.

The display has been significantly enhanced, now measuring 6.88 inches with support for up to 120Hz refresh rate, delivering a more fluid visual experience during scrolling and compatible applications. The screen incorporates wet touch technology to maintain responsiveness even with damp hands, while TÜV Rheinland-certified eye protection and DC dimming features help reduce visual strain during extended usage.

It will be available through Xiaomi’s official online channels on Shopee and Lazada starting May 20, 2025, with nationwide retail availability at authorized Mi Stores beginning May 23, 2025.
