YouTube announced the YouTube Premium Lite, a new subscription plan as the most affordable way to watch ad-free content. Currently, it is only available in the US but it will expand to other regions in the coming weeks.
YouTube Premium Lite Plan
As the name suggests, the YouTube Premium Lite plan has a few features that have been cut back compared to the standard YouTube Premium plan.
The new Lite plan offers ad-free streaming of YouTube videos but it doesn’t come bundled with YouTube Music.
Moreover, the new Premium Lite plan was emphasized to offer ad-free streaming for most videos, meaning you may still see ads especially when streaming music content and Shorts.

YouTube Premium Lite has been introduced as a pilot in the US but it will be expanded to Australia, Germany, and Thailand over the coming weeks. It is priced at USD 7.99 per month or around PHP 460. In comparison, The regular Premium plan starts at USD 13.99 per month (around PHP 800).
If it does arrive in the country, it would be less than the current YouTube Premium which is PHP 189 per month.
