Pete Lau, OPPO’s SVP and CPO, as well as OnePlus’ founder, has shared intriguing photos of the upcoming OPPO Find N5 foldable smartphone on the social media platform X. The images are part of OPPO’s teaser campaign and highlight a key feature of the new device: its nearly imperceptible display crease.

In his post, Lau stated, “No crease detected 🔍 Well, not on the #OPPOFindN5 😉,” drawing attention to the device’s improved folding display technology. While the crease is still present, it appears to be significantly less noticeable compared to previous models and competitors’ offerings.

The shared image shows the OPPO Find N5 alongside what could be a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, providing a visual comparison between the two devices. This suggests that the Find N5 will likely maintain a similar size to its predecessor, the Find N3.

OPPO has been revealing bits and bits about the Find N5 in the lead-up to its expected unveiling, which is anticipated to be no later than February 20, 2025. While the exact launch date remains to be confirmed, the company has been emphasizing the device’s thinness in its marketing efforts.
In addition to the improved display technology, OPPO has officially confirmed that the Find N5 will feature an IPX9 rating, along with IPX6 and IPX8 certifications. This is a significant upgrade in water resistance when compared to the Find N3, which only had an IPX4 rating.
Other notable features of the OPPO Find N5 include:
- 50W wireless charging support
- Rumored 80W wired charging capability
- A speculated 5,600mAh battery
- Expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset
