Market Positioning

The Geely-Meizu Connection

In July 2022, Geely, through its subsidiary Hubei Xingji Shidai Technology Co., Ltd., acquired a majority stake in Meizu Technology. This acquisition marked Geely’s entry into the smartphone industry, complementing its automotive technology ecosystem. The deal reportedly gave Geely a 79% controlling stake in Meizu.
