Xiaomi has just held a big launch event to kick off its MWC 2024 festivities. The event saw the global debut of the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra, and the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4. The last of which had the specs recently surfaced which hinted at its launch.
Moreover, the Xiaomi Watch S3, Smart Band 8 Pro, and Watch 2 were also unveiled globally.
Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 – Global Debut
The new tablet from Xiaomi boasts a 12.4-inch 144Hz 3K LCD display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. It supports DC dimming, Dolby Vision, and HDR10.
For optics, the Pad 6S Pro 12.4 has a 50MP main + 2MP depth combo around the back and a 32MP front sensor.
The Pad 6S Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It is coupled with HyperOS on the software front which introduces new functions. Among the functions include:
- Home screen+ – interact with your smartphones from the tablet
- Cross-device collaboration – allows you to do things like use the Notes app photo function and more
- Xiaomi Smart Hub – connects up to seven devices simultaneously
- Director mode in Camera app – professional monitoring tool linked with your smartphone
The company also introduced accessories for its new tablet namely the Xiaomi Focus Pen and Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro Touchpad Keyboard. The former has a 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity and a 240Hz sampling rate, while the latter integrates a touchpad to aid with precision and productivity. The are sold separate from the tablet.
