The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti being a midrange RTX 40 series GPU priced at $399 or Php 27,530 means that it’s a card that’s going to replace a lot of older generation graphics cards. As mentioned in our RTX 4060 Ti Founders Edition review, its Ada-Lovelace feature set and efficiency make it an enticing reason to upgrade from older 60 series GPUs. We have the Palit RTX 4060 Ti DUAL 8GB GPU in our labs to see if Palit’s signature price-to-performance makes the RTX 4060 Ti an even more attractive upgrade option for enthusiasts.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Family
Nvidia announced three SKUs for the RTX 4060 series, the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB, RTX 4060 Ti 16GB, and RTX 4060 8GB. Nvidia has seemed to learn its lesson with the RTX 4080 12GB, now RTX 4070 Ti controversy as the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB and 16GB models differences are solely on the VRAM. According to Nvidia, the RTX 4060 Ti is on average 2.6x faster than the RTX 2060 SUPER and up to 1.7x faster than the RTX 3060 Ti GPU on games that have DLSS and DLFG. For titles that don’t have frame generation, the RTX 4060 Ti is up to 1.6x faster than the RTX 2060 SUPER. and 1.15x than the RTX 3060 Ti.
Nvidia’s focus for the RTX 4060 Ti is its L2 Cache as it reduces demands on the GPU’s memory interface, ultimately improving performance and power efficiency. The RTX 4060 Ti’s memory subsystem features 32MB of L2 cache and 8GB or 16GB of ultra-high-speed GDDR6 memory. The RTX 4060 Ti is priced at $399 US or Php 27,530 for the Philippine market.

Palit RTX 4060 Ti DUAL – A Closer Look
Palit’s design especially for the RTX 4060 Ti DUAL 8GB GPU has definitely improved compared to its previous RTX 30 cards. The half-fan render and half-diagram design make the card feel premium. Since the RTX 4060 Ti has 8GB and 16GB variants, Palit displayed a model identifier on the lower left side of the front box. The back just shows the typical Nvidia GeForce features in different languages.
Coming from last year’s RTX 30 series DUAL card design, I must say that the RTX 40 series’ DUAL lineup has improved both in design and build quality. From an industrial look to a premium two-tone finish highlights the two 95mm fans.
The Palit RTX 4060 Ti DUAL 8GB features a full-sized backplate with a vented cutout on the right side. The vented cutout is as large as the fan and it allows air to pass through similar to Nvidia’s Founders Edition flowthrough cooler.
Unlike other RTX 40 series graphics cards in the market, the Palit RTX 4060 Ti DUAL 8GB only consumes two slots with an actual measurement of 249.9 x 123.5 x 40.1 mm.
Palit opted to use the older 8-pin PCI-E connector instead of the notorious 12VHPWR connector to power the 160W TGP.
The Palit RTX 4060 Ti DUAL 8GB is about the same size as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Founders Edition which is already considered compact for RTX 40 series graphics card. Its size makes it ideal for ITX and SFF builds.
The Palit RTX 4060 Ti DUAL 8GB has the standard video output configuration of three DisplayPort 1.4a ports and one HDMI 2.1 port. Like most GPUs, the bottom part of the IO bracket has perforations for airflow.
The lightbar underneath the Palit Logo lights up its RGB lighting can be customized via the Palit Thundermaster application.

Palit RTX 4060 Ti DUAL Temps and Power Draw
While the Palit RTX 4060 Ti DUAL 8GB has a similar size to that of the RTX 4060 Ti Founders Editon, their cooling capacity greatly differs. The Palit RTX 4060 Ti DUAL 8GB currently holds the highest recorded peak temperature in our benchmark suite at 82.3°C. While considerably hot, you could still increase the conservative fan curve to cool the card more aggressively.
Power consumption is well within spec and in line with other RTX 4060 Ti 8GB cards in the market. We recorded a peak power draw of 160.367W.
Performance Summary and Conclusion
Despite the concerningly high peak temperature, the Palit RTX 4060 Ti manages to keep up with both the Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti Founders Edition and the Aorus RTX 4060 Ti Elite cards, the latter being an OC variant. However, that side-to-side performance comes at a cost which is the aforementioned 82.3°C peak temperatures. You’re definitely able to get a lower peak by tweaking the fan speeds but that also comes at a cost in the form of acoustics. That said, users who plan to use the Palit RTX 4060 Ti DUAL 8GB for ITX builds should consider the tradeoff of temperature and acoustics.
Palit’s take on this generation’s DUAL series graphics cards certainly deserves some praise especially when it comes to design and build quality. The new black finish, shroud design, and RGB lighting make the card feel like a premium card instead of a being an entry-level one. The usage of an 8-PIN PCI-E connector also brings value as users upgrading from older systems won’t have to worry about upgrading their PSU.
For the price of Php 23,795, the Palit RTX 4060 Ti is currently the cheapest priced RTX 4060 Ti 8GB card in the market. For that, you’re getting a premium design, decent build quality, and performance that could keep up with higher-tier variants — that’s if temperature and acoustics are the least of your concerns. Temps and acoustics aside, the Palit RTX 4060 Ti DUAL 8GB serves as a great upgrade path for users rocking older graphics cards thanks to its competitive price, decent performance, and upgraded design.
