The documents reveal the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, featuring Cortex-X4 prime, Cortex-A720 performance, and Cortex-A520 efficiency CPU cores. A second variant will use TSMC’s N3E 3nm node, just like the current A17 Pro chipsets in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

For clarity, both chipsets will feature a similar configuration with the only difference being the process node which these two will be built upon.

The same source says that both variants will launch at the same time which may take place on October 24-26 during the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii.
