Twitter just confirmed why users are unable to use some of the third-party apps associated with the social media platform.

Twitter Third-party Apps Issue

The Verge talked to Paul Haddad, co-creator of Tweetbot. He reported that he still hasn’t heard back from the social media platform about the details of the violated rules.

“We have still heard nothing from anyone at Twitter on any level,” he said in the interview. “If there’s some long-standing rule that we’ve been unknowingly breaking for the last 10+ years, we’d love to know what it is so that, if possible, we can comply with it,” he added.

However, there is still no explanation as to why not all apps are affected by this. It doesn’t help that Twitter hasn’t clearly stated which exact rules are being enforced.

As a consequence of this, both developers and users of these third-party apps were left confused as to why these outages happened.
