If you don’t convert the Google Stadia controller to Bluetooth by December 31, 2023, it won’t get wireless connectivity support and can only be used as a wired gamepad. Yes, this does mean that the process of getting a Bluetooth connection isn’t automatic.

The company also revealed that if you do decide to turn it into a Bluetooth controller, you can’t go back to Wi-Fi. However, you can still play on wired mode when you switch to Bluetooth mode.

It also clarifies that you won’t be able to use the 3.5mm port and USB port on the controller when in wireless mode. But it does work in wired mode.
