TECNO has just unveiled the TECNO Eagle Eye Lens which is the first dual prism tele camera that can automatically track objects the help minimize handshakes due to manual tracking.
TECNO Eagle Eye Lens
The company said that it came up with a solution to manual tracking. It uses two prisms instead of one with each prism having the ability to rotate along one axis (one can do +/-8°, the other +/-10°).
Because of this configuration, the camera can automatically track objects with ease by as much as +/-16° on one axis and +/-20° on the other.
In addition, this new system has optical stabilization too paired with OIS and object tracking automated by AI. This system works on both images and videos without the need for manual tracking.
The company stated that this can be useful when trying to capture fast-moving objects like race cars, allowing you to get a sharp photo as they zoom past you.
