MediaTek officially confirmed that the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset will be unveiled on December 1.
The teaser poster that the company shared hints at a more energy-efficient chipset.
What We Know of the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 So far
Leaks report that the new chipset will arrive with four Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. One A78 core is said to be clocked at 3.1GHz, while the rest run at 3.0GHz. The efficient A55 cores, meanwhile, are believed to run at 2.0GHz.
As far as GPU goes, it is reported to have the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU, this is the same as the Dimensity 8100.
iQOO and MediaTek teased that the iQOO Neo 7 SE will be the first smartphone that will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset. It is scheduled to debut on December 2.
In addition, Redmi is also expected to introduce a smartphone powered by the new chipset.
