Apple has just released the next-generation iPad which has been redesigned and comes in four vibrant colors. This release comes with the unveiling of the next-generation iPad Pro powered by the M2 chip.

The redesigned iPad is powered by the A14 Bionic chip that delivers both fast performance and efficiency that can still provide all-day battery life.

Here are some of the features of the new iPad:

  • New All-Screen Design in Four Vibrant Colorways – The new iPad now comes in Blue, Pink, Yellow, and Silver. These colors are paired with a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display that extends to the edges giving you more screen real estate.
  • A14 Bionic Chip The A14 delivers 20% increased CPU performance and 10% improvement in graphics over earlier versions. This tablet also features Apple’s 16-core Neural Engine the doubles the number of cores found in the previous A13 chip model.
  • Advanced Cameras and Audio – The Ultra Wide front camera with a 12MP sensor and 122-degree field of view supports Center Stage, which automatically pans and zooms to keep you in view as you move around. The improved 12MP Wide back camera on the iPad delivers hi-res photos and detailed 4K videos with support for 240-fps slo-mo. Moreover, the new tablet has Dual microphones that work in unison with the cameras.
  • WiFi 6, 5G, and USB-C – You can do more with faster wireless connectivity on the go. With new the support for Wi-Fi 6, connections are 30% faster on the new iPad than the 802.11ac Wi-Fi supported on the previous generation. Cellular models with 5G allow iPad to reach peak speeds of up to 3.5Gbps in ideal conditions.
  • Accessories – The Magic Keyboard Folio delivers 1mm of travel and a responsive feel. It also has Multi-Touch gestures which make scrolling, swiping, pinching, and moving the cursor even more seamless.
  • iPadOS 16 Features – 
    • Messages – has new features that allow you to edit or unsend recently sent messages and also recover recently sent messages.
    • Freeform – a powerful new productivity app built into iPadOS with a flexible canvas and full support for Apple Pencil.
    • iCloud Shared Photo Library allows you to share photos seamlessly and automatically among up to six family members.
    • Safari – adds shared Tab Groups to browse the web with others, and the browsing experience gets even more secure with passkeys.
    • Mail – you can now schedule emails ahead of time and are even given a moment to cancel delivery of a message before it reaches a recipient’s inbox.
    • Weather – designed to take full advantage of the display with animations and with just a tap, you can see the most important weather information.
    • Live Text – uses on-device intelligence to recognize text in images across the system, and the feature now comes to video, making text completely interactive in paused video frames.
    • Visual Look Up – allows you to lift the subject from an image or isolate a subject by removing the background with just a tap.

  • 64GB variant starts at PHP 29,990.
  • 256GB model starts at PHP 39,990.

The redesigned iPad’s availability has not yet been announced for the Philippine market.
