Xiaomi 12S Series with Leica Partnership Launched in China

Xiaomi has just released the Xiaomi 12S series in China consisting of three models – 12S, 12S Pro, and 12S Ultra with a beefed-up camera thanks to a partnership with Leica.

All the phones in the series are equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and triple rear cameras co-engineered with Leica. The Pro variant has a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ version with a larger battery and a different camera setup.

Moreover, the vanilla and Pro models are both equipped with Sony’s IMX707 sensor. While the 12S Ultra boasts the 1-inch IMX989 sensor with the capability to capture videos in 8K resolution alongside HyperOIS.

The Xiaomi 12S series is now available in China although no information was released regarding the series’ global release.
