Telegram has just launched the Telegram Premium service globally. You can now upgrade to premium by updating your Telegram app to the latest 8.8 version. 

After updating, you can then head to the app’s settings and select the new Telegram Premium option.

These are the following features that are added to the premium version:

  • No Ads 
  • 4GB file transfer – You will now be able to send files up to 4GB in size which is equivalent to 4 hours of 1080p video.
  • Faster Downloads – You will be able to access and download media files as fast as your network can handle.
  • Increased Limits – 
    • You can now follow up to 1,000 channels with 20 chat folders that has 200 chats each.
    • Add a fourth account to any telegram app
    • Pin 10 chats in the main list
    • Save up to 10 favorite stickers
    • You can write longer bios and include a link alongside it
    • Save up to 400 favorite GIFs 
    • Reserve up to 20 public t.me links
  • Voice to Text
  • Unique stickers and reactions – 
    • Dozens of stickers now have impressive full-screen animations
    • Over 10 new emoji options
  • Chat management – 
    • Tools to organize your chat list
    • Ability to change your default chat folder so the app always opens on a custom folder or, say, Unread instead of All Chats.
    • Enable a setting in Privacy and Security to automatically archive and mute new chats, helping organize even the busiest chat lists.
  • Animated Profile Picture
  • Premium Badges
  • Premium App Icons

In addition, Telegram is set to bring 100 fixes and optimizations to the mobile and desktop apps for all users with its newest update.

Telegram Premium is available globally for USD 4.99 a month.
