Samsung has officially unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S22 series comprised of the Galaxy S22, S22+, and the S22 Ultra.
The new series has two distinct back panel designs. These are divided between the Galaxy S22 and S22+ share and the S22 Ultra. The former shares a design that looks like a refined version of the back panel of the Galaxy S21 series. Meanwhile, the latter has a fresh clean design with the cameras flush in the back.
The S22 series also features an IP68 rating, an Armor Aluminum frame, and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. The new Armor Aluminum frame is said to be 10% stronger than its predecessor, while the Victus+ is 12.5% tougher than Victus.
Additionally, the new series shares a 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset at the helm and a new Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The new panel offers up to 1750nits of peak brightness.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra features a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. It features a quad camera setup around the back comprised of a 108MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, an 18MP tele 1 lens with 10x zoom, and a secondary 10PMP tele snapper. Rounding out the optics is a 40MP front camera.
The double tele lenses allow Space Zoom mode to go as high as 100x. In addition to the unique back panel, the S22 Ultra has a built-in S-Pen.

Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+
The Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ share much of their specs. Among these include the optics with a 50MP main camera, 12 MP ultrawide snapper, 10MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom. Meanwhile, upfront is a 10MP front sensor.
Because of the solo tele lens, both devices only go as high as 30x Space Zoom.
The vanilla S22 is built around a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has the smallest battery cell in the series with a 3700mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
The S22+, on the other hand, has a 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is equipped with a 4500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
