Apart from its first ever tablet, the realme Pad, the game-changing brand also announced two new additions to the realme 8 family – realme 8s 5G and realme 8i.
realme 8s 5G has a 6.5-inch LCD with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is the first smartphone that runs on the new Dimensity 810 SoC, along with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage plus a microSD card slot.
For optics, there’s a 64MP main camera and a pair of 2MP sensors – one monochrome, and the other is a macro lens. Upfront is a 16MP snapper.
The device runs on realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11 and houses a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support via the phone’s USB-C port.
realme 8i has a slightly larger 6.6-inch screen, also with FHD+ resolution and 100% DCI-P3 coverage, plus a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also the first smartphone that houses the Helio G96 SoC, backed by up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.
It has a 50MP main camera, along with a 2MP monochrome lens, and a 2MP macro unit. It packs a 5,000mAh battery but only supports 18W fast-charging.
realme 8s 5G comes in Universe Blue and Universe Purple colors and is priced starting at INR17,999. realme 8i, on the other hand, comes in Space Black and Space Purple colors, and will retail for INR13,999 for the 4GB+64GB version and INR15,999 for the 6GB+128GB model.
