Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G S Pen changes everything!
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G is now more “empowered” for creativity rivaling what the Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G can do! Apart from its powerful specs, which makes it the fastest S Series, the quality of the new display of the device is amazing and impressive! Since its official announcement last month, there have been rumors about the fate of the Note Series, which was prompted by the S21 Ultra 5G’s newest feature – compatibility with the S Pen! For the first time, there is now an S Pen that’s made for the Galaxy S Series.
Starting off with the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, the S Pen has 4,096 pressure levels and a 0.7mm tip that helps simulate the actual writing experience. Since the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G’s display is made with a Wacom digitizer under the hood, you know that the performance is almost just as good as the one on Note20 Ultra. Latency isn’t exactly similar but the overall writing experience is impressive and memorable.
Having this new S Pen compatibility empowers the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G further. Features like Air Gesture, quick note taking, Smart Select, Screen Write, live messages, etc., are now available on the new Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G.
One way for me to put this to the ultimate test is to actually use the S Pen to make… romantic cards for my wife! I’ve been married for more than 11 years now, and I’m just really happy that my heart is tied to this lovely woman, Resa.
I created 10 romantic cards solely with my Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G and the S Pen. While the native note taking app of Samsung is good, I thought of using 2 applications I downloaded via Google PlayStore – Autodesk Sketchbook and Canva. Let me share them with you.
I made 2 sets of cards: the first set includes a mixture of my original and traced sketches using Autodesk Sketchbook. I then saved my sketches and exported them to Canva to customize it even further. Here are the original sketches:
Upon transferring my sketches to Canva, I used the application to turn them into cards that I can directly send to my wife or print them. I had fun using the S Pen on this device. There’s pressure sensitivity and there’s virtually no input latency.
Here are the finished cards:
Card #1: Resa inspires me a lot. I certainly believe that I get the courage to reach my goals because of the inspiration she brings to my life. She lifts my heart up, and this card symbolizes everything.
Card #2: A bird cannot fly with just one wing. Since we got married, we sacrificed half of our “wings” or life to form a new “pair of wings”. For this reason, I don’t see myself being able to live or fly without her.
Card #3: Resa is the single rose in my garden. This card is a homage to what my dad said to my mom many years ago.
Card #4: One of the best characteristics of my wife is her deep-set eyes. I’ll never get tired looking at them… because I see our lovely future together in it.
Card #5: One of the best ingredients of a long-lasting marriage is a love that never wavers. With our effort and prayers, we’ll preserve the love we have and stay in this cocoon of endearment forever.
For the second set, I played around with creating an animated card set using Canva on my smartphone. Since the phone is powerful enough to run productivity apps like Canva, I didn’t have problems making these virtual cards.
