New OPPO SuperVOOC Technologies
We were invited to OPPO online launch of SuperVOOC technology today, and we were treated with pretty cool charging technologies: 125W flash charge, 6W AirVOOC wireless flash charge and 50W and 110W mini SuperVOOC charger.
As a pioneer in flash charge technology, the new charging technologies that OPPO announced today are set to disrupt the industry yet again. Each technology is carefully setup and instaled with advanced encryption algorith and strict temperature control regularos for salfe efficient use.
During the online-launch, Jeff Zhang, Chief Charging Technology Scientist of OPPO, said, ““OPPO has been leading the development of fast charging ever since VOOC flash charge was launched in 2014. Now, we are committed to continue building on our expertise and advantages in the field of high power, wireless and ultra-small charging technologies in order to provide users with a safe, efficient and convenient ultra-fast charging experience.”
Yes, you read it right – OPPO has a high-ranking scienties in-charge of (pun intended) Charging Technology.
In the Philippines, in a press statement, OPPO Philippines Marketing Director Raymond Xia said, ““Today is a momentous day in terms of innovations. OPPO has been constantly forging a path forward in this technology and we can’t wait to bring this breakthrough technologies in the Philippines. OPPO users in the Philippines are in for the best smartphone experience from camera, entertainment and performance as we offer the best battery technology that can keep up with the digital lifestyle of the Filipinos.”
125W Flash Charge
In today’s 5G era, the demand for battery efficiency is much higher. This demand includes fast and secured direct charging. The new 125W Flash Charge that OPPO announced today does not just charge a 4000mAh battery up to 41% in 5 minutes, but also makes sure that it has all the safety protection features.
What is even more interesting is that OPPO confirmed that this is compatible with previous SuperVOOC and VOOC flash charge protocols; and 65W PD and 125W PPS. In terms of the charging scheme support, the new 125W flash charge can go up to 20V 6.25A.
65W AirVOOC wireless flash charge
OPPO also announced a better, more efficient and fast wireless charging technology – 65W AirVOOC. It can charge a 4000mAh battery in 30 minutes.
Safety features were also highlighted by OPPO. It has five-fold safety protection measures and foreign object detection. If ever you have any devices that support Qi charging, OPPO also confirmed that they will also work in their wireless chargers. OPPO also put a semiconductor cooler with optimized airflow.
50W and 110W mini SuperVOOC charger
Small but quick and efficient. OPPO also announced 50W and 110W mini pocket-friendly flash chargers. The former is compatible with VOOC and mainstream protocols like 27W PD and 50W PPS. With this charger, you can charge smartphones and even supported laptops.
This is still a developing story. We still have yet to check the availability and price of the newly-announced chargers from OPPO.
