You read that right! The entire batch of 10,000 units of the ASUS ROG Phone II was gone in 73 seconds of the first flash sale.
With the all-in specs of the ROG Phone II, it seems like the second iteration has caught the attention of people, specifically in China. It was reported that more than 2.5 million reservations were made on JD.com, one of the main online stores. These aren’t pre-orders, these were reservations in order to be able to buy a device in a flash sale.
ASUS apologized to the people that weren’t fast enough get one. They have promised that its production line staff are working to ensure that the next sales on August 4, 7, and 12 are better stocked.
The Tencent special version of the gamer-centric smartphone goes for CNY 3,499 (around PHP 26,000). This comes with 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. While the classic model which comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB internal storage is priced at CNY 5,999 (around PHP 44,600).
The ASUS ROG Phone II features the Snapdragon 855+ chipset with 6.59-inch AMOLED 250Hz display. It has a 48MP wide 13MP ultra-wide dual rear camera and a 24MP front shooter. Powering the device is 6000mAh. Read more on the device here.
