I’ve tried a couple of wireless in-ear headphones, all of them promising great sound, uninterrupted connectivity, good battery life, and so on. And yet, I don’t remember a single one which actually delivered on all of those, but maybe, that’s until today.
First seen at IFA 2018, the MOMENTUM True Wireless uses 7mm audiophile-grade dynamic drivers for delivering clear and detailed sound, plus that signature Sennheiser warmth, all placed in a sleek premium black housing that’s also sweat and splash resistant.
The device supports Bluetooth 5.0, AAC and Qualcomm aptX, for lag-free listening, and Transparent Hearing lets you listen to your surroundings without having to remove the headphones, increasing your situational awareness and contributing to your safety. It also integrates seamlessly with Siri and Google Assistant, so you can easily perform certain tasks without having to activate your device.
A certain section of each earpiece can be used as a touch panel, for controlling volume, play and pause, and for skipping or going back to the previous track. Using the Smart Control app, you can set its internal DAC to the sound signature of your choice, and many more.
Lastly, the MOMENTUM True Wireless can last up to 4 hours in a single charge. The carrying case also doubles as a charger, and has enough capacity to re-charge the headphones twice, giving you up to 8 hours of additional uptime.
