These days, you don’t even need to carry a bulky DSLR to get an IG-worthy shot. Most people would just pop out their phones, point to a subject, shoot, and upload in a matter of seconds.

While most mobile phones with good optics can capture photos that almost rival those taken with DSLRs, one brand has taken things a notch further with its innovative imaging technologies.

In 2018, Vivo announced its NEX smartphone, catching the attention of the industry with its groundbreaking innovations – the world’s first elevating selfie camera and its notch-less full-screen Ultra FullView display.

The elevating selfie camera was achieved using a highly-sophisticated micro-stepping motor, an independent driver IC, and a precision control algorithm, to mechanically pop up and quickly retract when the user is not taking a selfie.

The 6.39″ Super AMOLED Ultra FullView display on the other hand, maximizes the screen, and delivers the ultimate viewing experience for consuming any type of visual content.

With the success of Vivo’s NEX series, it will only be a matter of time before the innovative smartphone maker announces its next mid-range contender for the Philippine market, which will sport both the elevating selfie camera, and the Ultra FullView display, among other features.

Rumors suggest that Vivo is gearing up for the launch of the V15, which is set to be unveiled in India on Feb. 24.
