Not the kind of news you’d want to hear if you’re a OnePlus fan.

Some 40,000 customers were affected by a security breach which prompted OnePlus to cease all credit card transactions in its online store. The detailed findings posted in its official forums clearly states that only those who entered their card numbers, expiry dates and security codes at oneplus.net may be compromised.

The OnePlus online store is non-existent in our shores so most of us won’t be affected. Still, kudos to the company for informing affected individual users and letting the general public know that there’s been a security breach.

Just to be clear, the hack does not in any way affect a OnePlus phone, just the credit card data entered in oneplus.net. If you did not enter your credit card details over the mentioned site, then no worries.

The news is a minus for OnePlus but at least no phone was compromised
