Even at a young age, Kathryn Bernardo has always had an attachment with a camera. Aside from being always in front of it, she has always secretly wanted to learn more about photography, especially since she wishes to use the power of photography to change people’s lives. Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) recognizes this personal desire of the “Teen Queen” thus making her the perfect fit as the world-renowned camera brand partnered with her in launching its latest addition to its line of mirrorless cameras —the Canon EOS M100.

“We are very happy to welcome Kathryn Bernardo to the Canon family and officially make her part of #TeamCanonPH,” says Benny Yu, Consumer Group Director of CMPI. “We know that Filipinos admire her beyond just being a celebrity. Her heart for others, particularly for children, is an admirable trait. We’re here to support her vision to use her rekindled love for photography to be a platform of inspiration that will eventually benefit others.”

“Our latest addition to our mirrorless cameras, the Canon EOS M100, is a fit for her as she brings her photography game a notch higher. It is perfect for her style with its sleek design, the pictures it produces deliver depth for strong storytelling, and its functionality enhances the experience of taking and sharing photos in an instant,” Yu adds.

Kathryn, 21, discloses where her enthusiasm for photography comes from especially now that she’s endorsing the leading camera brand in the country. Watch her video here.

“Ever since I was young, I already loved taking photos. I always make it a point to have a camera with me when I travel, or during shoots or events, because I like keeping memories,” adds Bernardo. “My camera is filled with photos of my dogs and my niece! But given the chance and [more] time, I want to enroll in a photography class. Being around professional photographers all the time like Mark Nicdao and Sara Black really inspires me to take photos the way they do,” she shares.

Kathryn expresses she wants to learn how to eventually shoot uncanny and unique images, whether in portrait or street photography, using her Canon EOS M100, and share them in an instant just like a true millennial. “The Canon EOS M100 is a good start for me to learn how to shoot like them. The functions are so easy to manipulate and learn, and I get better quality photos and videos than what I used to get before. This makes documenting and sharing memories a lot easier for me, too,” Kathryn adds.

Reigniting her love for photography is one of the many things the young star would like to pursue to be able to share more meaningful content on her social media, considering that she currently gives high priority to giving back to children in need through the causes she supports.

Maraming may gustong tumulong, kulang lang sa awareness kung paano [There are a lot of people who wants to help but they just don’t know how]. Feeling ko job ko yun [I feel that it is my job], to spread awareness and be able to encourage other people to help through what I share on social media—that includes the photos and videos I post,” says Kathryn.

The uncomplicated technology, handiness, connectivity, and uncompromising quality of Canon EOS M100 are the things that Kathryn loves about her new camera. As it is the camera that suits the lifestyle of Filipino millennials like her, it is the perfect tool to add to the range of must-have gadgets, and for sharing professional-like quality photos and videos in an instant.

The young actress at her prime, growing with such style and substance as the years fly, truly speaks multitudes of her character and the success she has accomplished at this point in her life. #getMpowered to take your photos and videos like Kathryn, and share them in an instant with the Canon EOS M100.
