Edelkrone, a company well-known for its inventive filmmaking solutions, has announced Motion Kit, an advanced yet super portable 4-axis camera motion control system for mid-weight cameras. The system is designed to eliminate the time spent on programming the motions and deliver a never-before-seen speed to the filmmaker’s workflow. Motion Kit can be programmed completely manually by literally holding and moving the camera, and showing the system what result you want. This unique feature speeds up the programming process drastically. Motion Kit also automatically tracks the targets and focuses on them automatically with any lens. It lets the user convert any shot into a time-lapse or stop motion feature. It’s controlled remotely from the mobile app via Bluetooth connection.

Motion Kit uses a pair of LP-E6 type batteries to power which is another never-seen-before feature on a 4-axis motion control system. The compact form factor will let the users fit the entire kit (including the slider) in a regular equipment bag while still leaving place for camera and lenses.

The company has also updated their most popular product, SliderPLUS, with a new version which they call SliderPLUS X. This new version includes incredible new features like adjustable legs, quick attachment port, smart cleaning kit, lighter body design, snap on belts, and interchangeable rails. Unlike the previous sliders sold separately based on size, SliderPLUS X will be a single product that comes with 2 set of rails giving the filmmakers the option to use their SliderPLUS X either in 3 ft or 1.5 ft slide length.

“We have been working on the concept of this product for many years, and manually programming a motion control has always been our dream. We had started to push this ground with the introduction of Action Module 3 years ago; but Motion Kit was always the main goal. It is firmware update ready and there are still many features we are working on to add later to the system. We have finally achieved a new platform which we will be able to develop on for many years to come. We are certain that Motion Kit will answer the needs of many filmmakers and we can’t wait to start shipping them out soon.” adds Kadir Koymen, the founder of the company and also the project manager of SliderPLUS X and Motion Kit.

SliderPLUS X is priced at $999 and Motion Kit is priced at $2699 in the United States; and they can be ordered on the company website at www.edelkrone.com.
