The successors the the popular Huawei P9 and P9 plus has just been unveiled at MWC. Meet the Huawei P10 and P10 plus.
The Huawei P10 series consists of two variants and mostly relives the design language of its predecessors (and that i-device). The P10 has a 5.1-inch Full HD display, while the P10 plus has a larger 5.5-inch WQHD display. Both devices are powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 960 processor with a 4GB/64GB RAM and internal storage configuration for the P10, and 6GB/128GB for the P10 Plus.

There’s not that much difference in battery either: 3,200mAh for the P10, and 3,750mAh for the P10 plus. Both devices run on Huawei’s Emotion UI 5.1 on top of Android Nougat.

Both the P10 and P10 Plus sport the signature dual camera setup by Leica which now makes use of a 20MP monochrome sensor for capturing detail and light, and a 12MP RGB sensor. The only difference is that the P10 Plus has a wider f/1.8 aperture compared to the P10’s f/2.2. As a first, the P10 and P10 Plus also sport an 8MP f/1.9 Leica front-camera for good quality selfies.
Another notable update, is the relocation of the fingerprint sensor from the back of the device, to the Home button (that you can’t physically press). But it does however, recognize swiping gestures and taps. You can for example, tap lightly to go back, or long tap to go back to the Home screen.
The new Huawei phones are also equipped with an enhanced touch controller driver, which gives a sense of better feedback and responsiveness when navigating the user interface.
Both phones will start shipping this March, with the P10Â carrying a $685 price tag, and $738 for the P10 Plus.
