Satellite Devices Now Available From Smart at Zero Interest Plans

Whether it’s for disaster response, business, or personal use, Satellite devices are very handy for anyone going to places outside the reach of mobile networks.

As such, Smart has taken the initiative to be the only mobile network to offer devices which can serve this purpose. The XT Lite and SATSleeve Hotspot.

The XT Lite is currently considered as the world’s best-value satellite phone and is very compact. It allows users to make calls and send messages from places which are outside the coverage of terrestrial networks.

The SATSleeve Hotspot on the other hand allows users to use their smartphones as satellite devices using an app, and experience good coverage for calls, messaging, email, and other popular apps in remote areas.

Aside from the aforementioned, users can also rely on these devices for uninterrupted communication when climbing mountains, sailing at sea, on board an airplane, or even when travelling abroad.

The XT Lite and SATSleeve Hotspot can be purchased for PhP38,500 each (inclusive of one satellite services for a year, which is worth $120) , and are available in zero-percent easy payment plans. PhP6,416 per month for 6 months, or PhP3,208 for 12 months.

Smart was able to offer these devices thanks to a partnership with Thuraya, a worldwide leader in satellite communications. The company provides satellite network coverage for over two-thirds of the world, spanning across 160 countries in different regions including Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
