Apple certified battery case maker, Mophie, is finally in the Philippines. The company is famous for its high quality portable battery solutions for iPhone and Samsung.
According to James Gardner, Mophie’s Southeast Asia sales manager, it is the best time for Mophie to enter the Philippines because they believe that the market demands for better battery solutions not just for iPhones but also Android devices.
Filipinos are constantly on the lookout for better and innovative options, which Mophie can provide. He also cited that the demand for Powerstations (a name they prefer to use than powerbank) will continue to soar because of Niantic’s wonder application, Pokemon Go.
When asked about why they chose Philippines over other countries in Southeast Asia, Gardner said that the affinity between Philippines and USA is tighter compared to neighboring countries in the region.
Showcased during the press launch are battery cases, battery and storage and universal batteries. Prices of products range from PhP1,950 to PhP6,950, and they are looking at bring more premium products in the 4th quarter of 2016. Upcoming products include Charge Force (Mophie’s wireless battery solutions) and high capacity Powerstations. During the launch, Gardner even showed a retail version of Mophie Juice Pack Wireless and Charging Base.
Their products are now available at all Digital Walker and Beyond the Box branches nationwide. Digits Trading, Mophie’s official distributor in the Philippines, will soon bring the products to more authorized resellers nationwide before the year ends.
