O+ USA has been very consistent about smartphones with special features like O+ M or other O+ USA devices released just this year. To gain more knowledge about this device, I listed down 9 reasons why I like the O+ Upsized and why you should consider buying this one-of-a-kind phablet.

Macchiato Gold

First and foremost, O+ Upsized is available in two colors: Black and Macchiato Gold. Fortunately, O+ USA sent us the Macchiato Gold. This color might interestingly look like chocolate/ coffee, hence the Macchiato word. Premium as it is, the O+ Upsized looks very awesome being dressed with this color; and if you’ll ask me, I would very much prefer this color because of its uniqueness rather than the ordinary black one.

Size Matters

Next, let’s get down to business. O+ Upsized is called “Upsized” not only because the display is 5.5″ HD IPS powered, but its memory is also upgraded. The internal memory of O+ Upsized is at 8 GB with Free 32 GB SanDisk microSD Card – that’s a total of 40GB of storage.

With this free 32 GB memory, you can get access to different types of your entertainment like games, applications, movies and even music. You can all enjoy this with beautiful HD 5.5″ screen that could ultimately satisfy your eyes. With the speakers located at the back, you can enjoy playing your favorite games or movies without blocking any speaker grills on the side. There are few draw backs though: sound quality is mediocre and you will also have to place it face-down if you want to listen to your favorite songs thru its speakers.

Battery Size Matters Even More

Alongside with this 40 GB storage, the O+ Upsized is packed with 2500 mAh of juice to power up the device for almost a day or two. The 2500 mAh battery is non-removable so in case you’re not satisfied with it, you can easily put your extra power bank for your satisfaction. With my experience as a heavy social media user and casual mobile gamer, its battery lasts for almost 2 days. Judging from that experience, I can say that the battery is above par; a plus point for the O+ Upsized.

Fast Enough

For the device’s innards, O+ Upsized is powered by 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6582 Quad-core processor and 1 GB of RAM. The device can make multitasking work like a breeze. Based on AnTuTu Benchmark, O+ Upsized scored 22,756 points, making it to 27th rank among the devices listed in AnTuTu Benchmarks.

O+ Upsized runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Marshmallow nowhere in sight. A near perfect Android experience awaits you with this device. Buttery smooth Android experience is what I expected in this device and it didn’t disappoint me. As eaerlier stated, an upgrade to Android Marshmallow is still uncertain though we will inform everyone if we receive news about the any software upgrade ready for Upsized.

Games like Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, or Candy Crush Saga work with no lags. The device also supports dual sim capability for your communications; one tray for WCDMA while the other one is only for GSM.

Good design

It is designed with 5.5″ display with HD IPS screen. Its bezel is a little thicker as you can see in the picture. The display is crisp and the colors are vibrant. In front, you can easily see the headpiece and the 5 megapixel camera. At the back, prominent features like 8-megapixel auto-focus camera alongside with LED flash are present. Sample photos are provided below for your perusal. There are no capacitivite buttons below the screen. On its right side, volume rockers are located above the power/sleep button. The micro-USB port is located below the device, while the 3.5mm headset jack is placed at the top.

With all those physical features, the device is enveloped by a gold/rose gold frame making it look like a premium device, a good choice if you’ll ask me.

Comfortable to Hold

For its size, O+ Upsized is very comfortable to hold. Its smooth sides make it really ergonomic. The texture of the back cover of O+ Upsized feels likes a little bit stony/ metallic, – slightly similar to the texture of OnePlus One back panel.

Made for People with ‘Productivity’ in Mind

Young professionals and students are one of the top priorities for this phone. O+ Upsized is affordable but the qualities are top notch. This could serve them very well because not only this can be used for communication purposes but also for productivity. Students can store any documents they want, and professionals can store their slides for them to review before their keynote presentations.

Stunning Price

Priced only under PHP 5,395, the O+ Upsized is a perfect companion to some. From the first time you hear O+ Upsized, the first thing that comes to your mind is large screen. But O+ USA didn’t disappoint us, they included a larger memory – 40 GB.  With the availability of millions of applications at the Play Store, it is easy to store any applications you want.

Stuff that Come with it

Last but not the least, O+ Upsized comes with the usual 1.0A Charger with microUSB cord, service manual, FREE SanDisk 32 GB memory card.
