    The first week of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Philippines (MPL-PH) Season 9 kicks off tomorrow, February 18 with Blacklist International and ONIC PH to start the action. Their performance in the M3 World Championships Grand Final makes it one of the most awaited matchups of the season.

    Blacklist International will play the season without the power duo of Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario after they announced that they will take a break from competitive play. Can Kent Xavier “Kevier” Lopez take the reins for the M3 champions?

    Can ONIC PH bounce back with Allen Jedric “Baloyskie” Baloy leading the pack after a surprising undefeated upper bracket run at the M3 World Championship only to be toppled by Blacklist International in the end?

    • 16:00-18:00 – ONIC PH vs Nexplay EVOS

    MPL-PH Season 9 Begins on February 18

    The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Philippines Season 9 (MPL-PH Season 9) is set to once again look for the best Filipino team in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) starting February 18.

    The latest season will comprise of Bren Esports, Echo, Smart Omega, Nexplay EVOS, TNC Pro, RSG Philippines, ONIC PH, and the defending Blacklist International. The eight franchised teams will be battling it out for a USD 150,000 prize pool this season.

    Samsung joins as the season’s official device partner, which included brand integration throughout the tournament.

    “Season 9 marks a chapter for many teams, and we are excited to bring back our athletes to demonstrate Lakas ng Pinas, as expertly shown in the M3 World Championship. With new players filling in the shoes of our legacy players and with our newest partner, Samsung, we are just as excited as our fans to see how well they perform this season.”

    Moreover, the new season brings new rules. The first ranked time this season will determine the placement of the third or fourth-ranked teams to be placed in either the first or second match. Additionally, the same will follow for the subsequent ranked fifth or sixth positioned teams as well.

    Teams can now also have as many as three assistant coaches or analysts to support them but only one will help the head coach in the draft phase.

    MPL-PH Season 9 will start on February 18 with playoffs starting on April 28 and concluding on May 1, 2022. The games will be played on Friday at 6 PM onwards, Saturday at 4 PM onwards, and Sunday at 4 PM onwards.
