Google is breaking off from its dessert-themed naming convention for the next version of Android, and have just decided to simply call it, Android 10.
The reason behind is quite simple, for better familiarity. There’ll also be changes to the Android logo and Mascot, which will now be a Bluish-green colored robot, not just for aesthetics, but also a measure to improve accessibility for those with color-blindness. A set of other colors will be used for packaging and digital assets.
The Android logo will also undergo some changes, such as using different font for the text, and the robot’s head being part of the logo itself (no longer a full-body robot).
We can expect to see these changes when Android 10 comes out, which is expected to be later this year.
