Pre-order customers get the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 campaign a week before everyone else. Campaign Early Access opens on October 16, and NVIDIA has timed a new GeForce Game Ready Driver to land beside it. Version 617.42 adds DLSS 4.5 support to Modern Warfare 4 and covers a crowded run of October releases, from Star Wars: Galactic Racer to Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen. We tracked the earlier DLSS 4.5 wave in our September roundup.
Modern Warfare 4 Campaign Early Access and DLSS 4.5
The campaign moves the series to the Korean Peninsula, where North Korea launches a full-scale invasion. Players follow a young squad of South Korean soldiers on the collapsing front lines while Captain Price runs an off-book mission from the shadows. Modern Warfare 4 opens to pre-order customers on October 16, then launches worldwide on October 23 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Battle.net, Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2.
NVIDIA says DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution runs in all modes. GeForce RTX 40 Series owners get Frame Generation, while GeForce RTX 50 Series systems can switch on Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, which scales up to 6X multiplication and adjusts to the frame workload. Reflex stays available on every GeForce RTX card to cut PC latency.
The full launch on October 23 adds multiplayer and DMZ. Multiplayer ships with Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, Search and Destroy, and a new mode called Inflation, where every elimination builds a fortune and a bigger target on your back.
