Smart Travē eSIM rates are dropping by as much as 43% for the year-end travel rush, cutting the cost of the app’s most popular data packs for Filipinos heading abroad this holiday season.
The discount covers more than 100 destinations, including the usual holiday hotspots such as Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Europe. It is available for a limited time, timed for the busy end-of-year travel season.

What the Smart Travē eSIM discount covers
Three prepaid data packs carry the biggest cuts, all sold as data-only plans:
- 1GB valid for 7 days now costs US$3, down from US$4.50, a 33% cut.
- 3GB valid for 15 days now costs US$5.75, down from US$10, a 43% cut.
- 10GB valid for 30 days now costs US$12, down from US$20, a 40% cut.
Smart Travē pitches the packs at as low as PhP25 per day. Because Travē is a data-only service, calls and texts run through apps like Messenger, Viber, or WhatsApp over mobile data instead.
What travelers get beyond the lower rates
Connectivity on a trip now covers more than scrolling. Travelers lean on mobile data for maps, ride-hailing, hotel and flight updates, digital boarding passes, travel documents, and translation, and for staying in touch when plans change. For families, a working line is often what keeps everyone found in busy airports and tourist spots.
Smart also points to local support as the difference from generic travel eSIM providers. Smart Travē users can call the Smart hotline for help while abroad, which the company says adds peace of mind on top of the cheaper rates.
“The holidays are a time when Filipinos look forward to traveling, reconnecting with loved ones, and creating memorable experiences wherever their journeys take them. With Smart Travē, we want travelers to worry less about connectivity and focus on enjoying the journey. By making the mobile data more affordable and convenient, backed by the support of Smart, we are giving Filipino travelers greater peace of mind to stay connected, share their experiences, and make the most of every trip,” said Albert V. Villa-Real, President and CEO at PLDT Global Corporation and Head of PLDT and Smart International Business.
“Smart’s commitment goes beyond keeping Filipinos connected wherever they are in the Philippines. With Smart Travē, we are extending that same commitment to customers as they travel abroad, giving them access to connectivity across more than 100 destinations,” said Lloyd R. Manaloto, First Vice President and OIC for Smart.
