Ayaneo has officially expanded its budget Konkr lineup with the Pocket Block, a compact, vertical Android gaming handheld built for retro enthusiasts. Priced starting at just USD 89, the device is now available globally, bringing classic Game Boy-style nostalgia into the modern era.
Budget-Friendly Ayaneo Konkr Pocket Block
The pocket-sized handheld weighing at 165 grams sports a 3.33-inch LCD with a 4:3 aspect ratio. Its 960 x 720 resolution is calibrated for integer scaling of older classic titles. Under the hood, the Pocket Block is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, delivering power for seamless 32-bit and 64-bit console emulation.
Buyers can choose between two configurations: a base model with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, or a step-up version with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Both models include microSD expansion to house large game libraries. The device features a traditional D-pad, rubber membrane face buttons, and rear shoulder triggers.
Running on Android 12, it utilizes Ayaneo’s software ecosystem, including the AYAHome launcher and AYASpace frontend for easy emulator and metadata management. Other specs include a 3,500mAh battery, USB-C PD fast charging, haptic feedback, dual speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Available in Original Grey, Atoms White, and Cube Purple, the Konkr Pocket Block costs USD 89 (or USD 109 for the 3GB model), with a USD 10 early bird discount currently active. Shipping is scheduled to begin in late October.
