Acer announces the Predator Atlas 7, a new addition to the Predator handheld portfolio that brings the same flagship performance of the recently launched 8-inch model into a more compact 7-inch form factor. Acer is also unveiling Project DualPlay Mini, an innovation concept that functions as both a high-powered gaming handheld and a mobile productivity device.
Acer Predator Atlas 7
Designed for mobile gamers seeking flagship performance in a compact form, the Predator Atlas 7 (PA07-I51) features an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor and Intel Arc B390 graphics, ensuring exceptional gaming capability. Coupled with an XBOX Game Pass subscription, it allows immediate access to a vast library of games while utilizing Windows 11 for an enhanced gaming experience. The device incorporates a dual-fan cooling system, with a precision AeroBlade fan enhancing airflow by up to 10%, and a secondary plastic fan for efficient heat expulsion. Its 80 Wh battery supports prolonged gaming sessions on the go.
The Predator Atlas 7 is designed for enhanced control with ergonomic grips and an enlarged palm rest. It features joysticks using tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) technology for precision and anti-drift. The device has Hall-effect analog triggers, a fingerprint reader for secure logins, and a 7-inch FHD touchscreen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of brightness.

It offers durability with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and supports 10-point multi-touch. For connectivity, it includes dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, UHS-II microSD support, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. The PredatorSense app enables system monitoring, while audio is improved with DTS:X Ultra through dual speakers and microphones featuring Acer PurifiedVoice.
Project DualPlay Mini
The 8-inch Project DualPlay Mini is a conceptual device from the Predator brand that reimagines what a gaming handheld form factor can do. Rather than serving a single purpose, the concept is built around dual utility — functioning both as a gaming handheld and as a mobile productivity station — and is designed to move fluidly between gaming and productivity without requiring a separate device for each.
Project DualPlay Mini features dual control modes: a backlit keyboard for traditional laptop gaming and a handheld mode for a console-like experience. It serves as a mobile work device, connecting to external screens while maintaining productivity on the go. Its design includes a flip-and-swivel mechanism and celebrates Acer’s 50th anniversary with the phrase “Acer 50 since 1976” in Morse Code on the back. Powered by Intel, it utilizes a dual-fan cooling system akin to the Predator Atlas 8, blending gaming and productivity functions to innovate mobile experiences.
