HUAWEI opens reservations for its new wide flat-slab phone in China, pairing a 6,500-nit display with a slim 6.68 mm body and first-run HarmonyOS 7 software.
HUAWEI has opened reservations for the Pura X View in China, a new wide-slab phone that trades the usual tall, narrow screen for a 16:9.5 aspect ratio. The company is positioning the device around content-first use: reading, gaming, video, and office work on a display that shows more per screen.

The phone’s defining feature is the display. HUAWEI lists a 2232 x 1320 resolution panel with a local peak brightness of 6,500 nits, 2,160 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for low-light comfort, a 96.1 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 1.05 mm bezels on all four sides. The wide format suits 16:9 video natively, which HUAWEI highlights for watching films and series without letterboxing.

Inside, HUAWEI claims a 7,000 mAh battery in a body that measures 6.68 mm thin and 201 g light, a combination that puts endurance ahead of the current slab-phone norm. The Pura X View is also the first phone to ship with HarmonyOS 7, HUAWEI’s newest mobile software, which introduces a refreshed 3D-style interface with light-reactive interactions.

The Pura X View comes in four colorways: Leaping Red, Linen Gray, Zero White, and Phantom Night Black, each with a two-texture back that pairs a smooth camera section with a ribbed lower panel.

HUAWEI has not yet announced Philippine pricing, availability, or a local launch date. The phone is currently listed for reservation on HUAWEI’s China consumer site, and international rollout details are expected to follow. We’ll update this story once HUAWEI Philippines shares local plans.
