Colorful Technology has announced the upcoming release of the Chitu MAG-60, a limited-edition magnetic switch keyboard inspired by the 2026 Chinese zodiac Year of the Horse. Named after the legendary warhorse Red Hare (Chitu), this peripheral combines traditional Chinese aesthetics with modern gaming technology. The keyboard is highly exclusive, with a production run of only 300 units worldwide. It utilizes premium materials like an imported Alcantara top cover and a CNC-machined aluminum chassis alongside high-performance gaming internals. Tech enthusiasts and competitive gamers can expect the device to officially launch on June 30.
Premium Craftsmanship and Aesthetics
The COLORFUL Chitu MAG-60 features a unique look inspired by Han Dynasty horse carvings and auspicious cloud motifs, wrapped in a classic vermilion-red finish. Its exterior is crafted with a hand-finished Alcantara suede top cover and full-grain leather side accents for a premium tactile feel. Underneath the luxurious fabric, the keyboard relies on a robust CNC-machined T6 aluminum chassis with a multi-layer anodized finish. To emphasize its exclusivity, each unit features a laser-engraved individual serial number and includes two custom metal artisan keycaps. The bottom case also integrates themed artwork to complete its collector-grade design.

On the performance side, the keyboard is equipped with exclusive TTC Year of the Horse “White Horse” Magnetic Switches that offer a 100 million keystroke lifespan. These switches feature a triple-layer acoustic structure and four layers of sound-dampening materials to minimize resonance and deliver a crisp sound signature. For competitive gaming, the Chitu MAG-60 utilizes advanced Tunnel Magnetoresistance (TMR) sensing technology, which drastically reduces power consumption compared to traditional Hall-effect options. This technology enables a highly responsive 8,000Hz polling rate, an ultra-low 0.125ms latency, and a 0.005mm Rapid Trigger precision. Users can easily customize actuation distances, macros, and the 16.8 million color RGB lighting through a browser-based driver platform.

The COLORFUL Chitu MAG-60 adopts a compact 60% layout, making it space-efficient for desktop setups while maintaining cross-platform compatibility with both Windows and macOS support. Colorful has scheduled the official launch of this limited-edition keyboard for June 30, 2026. It will be priced at RMB 2,399 or Php 35,391 converted.
