The new Android app, dubbed “Sleep&Arrive,” leverages real-time location data to wake commuters precisely as they approach their destination. This aims to help commuters avoid missing their stop and wasting time.
“Sleep&Arrive” Android App
Sleep&Arrive uses GPS to track the user’s journey. When the traveler nears their stop, the app triggers an alert via the smartphone, connected headphones, or a Wear OS smartwatch.
Developed by Reddit user u/MFRKNDGN, the app is specifically designed for the Wear OS ecosystem. Wrist-based vibration patterns provide a discreet wake-up call to avoid disturbing others. Other features include the ability to track journeys with transfers, an “off-track” warning if the user boards the wrong train, and location estimation for when GPS signals drop out in tunnels.

The core version of Sleep&Arrive is free, offering basic alarms and smartwatch synchronization. A “Pro” tier, priced at approximately USD 4 monthly or USD 9 for a lifetime license, unlocks offline maps and a more persistent alarm mode.
