AYANEO has officially suspended pre-orders for its flagship NEXT 2 console just two weeks after launch. The company cited an “unsustainable” surge in component costs. especially RAM prices, as the primary driver behind the decision.
AYANEO NEXT 2 Production Ceased
The company reported that procurement prices for high-performance RAM and SSD storage tripled almost overnight. These spikes, fueled by demand from AI data centers, have pushed the cost of manufacturing the NEXT 2 toward nearly double its original retail price. While the device was initially listed between USD 1,999 and USD 4,299, the company stated that continuing sales at these rates would incur massive losses.

“Under such circumstances, the overall cost of the product has become far higher than our current selling price,” the company explained in a statement to backers. AYANEO has since removed the NEXT 2 from all sales channels, including Indiegogo, to protect the brand’s long-term sustainability.
For early adopters: AYANEO confirmed that all existing pre-orders will be fulfilled as planned, with production moving forward. The company intends to resume sales only if market prices for memory and storage return to “reasonable levels.”
