The WF-1000XM6 boasts Sony’s next-generation HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3e plus the Integrated Processor V2, creating a powerful dual-chip system for exceptional noise control. Each earbud is equipped with four microphones, an upgrade from the previous three-mic setup, enabling more precise noise control across a wider range of frequencies. The earbuds excel at reducing mid-to-high frequency noise commonly found in everyday environments like cafes, offices, and vehicles.
Its Adaptive Noise Cancelling Optimiser feature analyzes external noise and wearing conditions in real time, automatically adjusting performance based on individual ear shapes, fit, and atmospheric pressure. You get optimal noise cancellation regardless of environment or activity, whether commuting, working, or relaxing at home.
Premium Sound Quality and Audio Features
Sony worked with Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated mastering engineers including Randy Merrill, Chris Gehringer, Mike Piacentini, and Michael Romanowski for a fine-tuned audio experience.
The WF-1000XM6’s newly developed driver unit uses a unique diaphragm design that combines different materials for the dome and edge, delivering deep bass response and crystal-clear high frequencies across the entire sound spectrum.
It supports Hi-Res Audio Wireless, DSEE Extreme technology that upscales compressed digital music files, and 360 Reality Audio for immersive spatial sound experiences. Users can also personalize their listening experience through a customizable 10 Band EQ available in the Sony Sound Connect app.
Enhanced Design and Communication
The redesigned earbuds are around 11% slimmer than the WF-1000XM5, following the natural curves of the inner ear for improved comfort during extended listening sessions. Despite this, Sony has not compromised on functionality or battery performance.
Call quality has been significantly enhanced thanks to two microphones, a bone conduction sensor on each side, and an AI beamforming noise reduction algorithm that isolates your voice from the background noise. This results to crystal-clear voice transmission during phone calls and video conferences, even in such noisy environments.
Battery life is up to 8 hours with a single charge and up to 24 hours total with the charging case when using Noise Cancelling and Bluetooth. The earbuds also support Qi wireless charging for added convenience and are LE Audio ready for ultra-low latency gaming experiences.
