Huawei Philippines has officially announced the upcoming launch of the HUAWEI Mate X7, which the brand has dubbed as the King of Foldables. Set for a local debut on February 19, 2026, it’s the latest evolution in a lineage of innovative hardware, including the world’s first trifold and various folding designs.

The Mate X7 introduces a premium aesthetic featuring a Time-Space Gate camera design and a slim profile wrapped in vegan leather, available in Nebula Red and Black colors.
With durability as a central focus, its outer screen is shielded by Crystal Armour Kunlun Glass and the inner 8-inch display utilizes a specialized 3-layer composite structure. It uses the same Advanced Precision Hinge found in the Mate XT, paired with an aviation-grade aluminum frame to withstand impacts. Additionally, it boasts an IP59 and IP58 rating, allowing it to survive submersion in up to 2 meters of water.

The device is marketed as the first foldable to offer camera performance on par with flagship bar phones. It uses a 50MP Ultra Lighting HDR Camera and a 50MP Telephoto Macro lens, providing a 43% improvement in color reproduction over its predecessor. Powered by HUAWEI’s X-True Display technology, there’s a 6.49-inch 2444 x 1080 LTPO outer screen and an 8-inch 2416 x 2210 inner screen.
