Qualcomm has unveiled two new SoCs, the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 and the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4. These platforms are aimed at delivering modern features to budget-friendly devices.
Qualcomm Launches New Snapdragon Chips
The 6s 4G Gen 2 targets devices where 4G connectivity remains the standard. Built on a 6nm process, it features a Kryo CPU clocked up to 2.9GHz, promising a performance boost of up to 51% over its Gen 1 predecessor. Its Adreno GPU is up to 20% faster and supports 1080p+ displays at 120Hz. The chip also supports camera sensors up to 108MP.

Stepping into the 5G segment, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 is fabricated on a 4nm node. This platform features an updated Kryo CPU configuration, including LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage support. Connectivity is handled by a 5G sub-6GHz modem capable of up to 2.5Gbps downlink speeds, and it supports Quick Charge 4+ technology.

Both chips support 108MP cameras, and the first devices utilizing the new platforms are anticipated to arrive next year.
