HUAWEI has just unveiled a teaser poster regarding the launch of the HUAWEI Mate 50 series that will happen a day before Apple’s iPhone 14 launch.
A Bloomberg report said that the iPhone 14 series will launch on September 7, 2022. However, on Weibo, HUAWEI posted a September 6, 2022 launch date for its new flagship series the HUAWEI Mate 50 series.
Moreover, the poster shows a golden metal ring that looks like the camera island design of the Mate 50 Pro. In addition, the HUAWEI Mate 50 series will include four variants – Mate 50E, Mate 50 vanilla, Mate 50 Pro, and Mate 50 Pro RS (top model with a Porche Design)
Two of the models in the series are said to sport a flat display with a 2,800 x 1,225px resolution and with a 90Hz refresh rate.
Additionally, the rear side is made of glass and is rumored to boast a 50MP main camera and a 13MP selfie camera. All of these are powered by a 4400mAh battery that supports 66W charging.
The Mate 50E has a Snapdragon 778G SoC while the regular Mate 50 sports a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 like the top models. However, all models will arrive without an integrated 5G modem due to US sanctions.
Finally, The Mate 50 Pro and Mate 50 Pro RS are reported to come with a 6.8-inch curved LTPO AMOLED screen alongside a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX800 module.
