After initially announcing that realme Pad won’t receive an Android 12 update, the company confirmed that it will indeed get the latest Android version after all.
However, it is expected to be rolled out between July and September since Android 12 will launch in Q3 2022. While it’s unclear if Android 12 will be the last Android update for the tablet, GSMArena reached out to the brand and it clarified that there are no plans for Android 13 for now.
The brand revealed that the new Android version will bring an enhanced lock screen and notification UI to the realme Pad. In addition, it will have scrolling screenshots, a dedicated one-handed mode, and improved widgets.
Realme promised to provide three years of security updates for the tablet.
