vivo X Fold6 is now official worldwide, arriving as the company’s latest flagship foldable with a productivity-first software stack, a slimmer chassis, and a larger battery than the model it replaces.

The announcement opens a new chapter for the X Fold line, which spent its earlier generations largely inside the Chinese market before the series started travelling to more regions.

The headline change sits in software, where vivo pairs the device with the all-new OriginOS 7 Fold. That build leans on the Origin Smooth Engine to coordinate computing, memory, storage, and rendering under heavy multitasking loads.

OriginOS 7 Fold Puts Work First

At the centre of that experience is the Multi-Task Workbench, which splits into two parts, Origin Workbench and Multi-Split Screen.

Origin Workbench keeps one main window in focus while four auxiliary windows stay available in the background, and Multi-Split Screen lets users display and freely resize up to four windows side by side.

A feature called AI Cross-App Drag rounds out the workspace by letting content move directly between applications. It helps while reviewing a presentation during a video call or comparing details across several apps at once.

vivo X Fold6 also carries a set of AI productivity tools built to cut the time spent managing meetings, files, and reference material through the working day.

AI Meeting Assistant includes AI Recorder for in-person meetings, offering speaker transcription and structured summaries, while AI Captions supplies real-time subtitles for online calls and video conferences.

AI File Manager adds Topics, Smart Naming, AI Summary, and Column View, giving scattered documents an automatic structure that makes them easier to find and understand later.

For long documents, AI Reader Mode reflows complex PDF files into clean eBook-style layouts, a practical touch for anyone reading contracts or research on a handset.

Jovi Agent and Desktop Mode

Beyond the handset itself, OriginOS 7 Fold introduces Jovi, an AI agent that vivo says turns intent into action across smartphones and PCs. Jovi handles searches, content generation, and end-to-end office workflows from a single voice command.

Jovi also supports scheduled and recurring tasks, so routine workflows execute at set times and return results without further input from the user.

vivo Office Kit handles cross-device collaboration, and Desktop Mode turns the phone into a desktop-like workspace when it is connected to a compatible monitor or television.

A Slim Body with a 6,900 mAh Battery

The battery is the most tangible hardware upgrade. A 6,900 mAh BlueVolt cell sits inside a body that measures roughly 4.4mm when unfolded in Prism Black at 228g, and 4.8mm in Horizon Blue at 235g.

Charging runs at 80W wired and 40W wireless, with wireless reverse charging available for accessories. The company credits 5th-Gen Silicon Anode Technology plus a 3rd-Gen Semi-Solid-State Battery for the mix of capacity and thinness.

vivo rates discharge performance down to minus 20 degrees Celsius, aimed at users who work through cold mornings or travel into colder markets.

Rounding out the build is an Ultra-Reliable Lightweight Hinge, the Minimal Ring camera module, a 2.5D flat-edge metal frame, and IPX8, IPX9, and IP5X ratings covering water and dust.

ZEISS Imaging Inside a Foldable

Imaging sticks with the ZEISS co-engineering that has defined recent vivo flagships, and the device leads with a 200 MP ZEISS main camera built on the Samsung HPB large sensor.

That sensor pairs ZEISS T* coating with optical image stabilisation, and it is joined by a ZEISS APO telephoto camera using the Sony LYTIA 602 sensor with 3x periscope zoom and up to 100x ZEISS HyperZoom.

Processing comes from the vivo Imaging Chip V3+, while shooting modes cover Motion Portrait 2.0 for children and pets in motion, Night Flash Portrait for low-light faces, and a Stage Mode that pairs 4K 60 fps Dolby Vision video with telephoto stage portraits.

Split-Screen Preview adds a Cover Screen Teleprompter, an Interactive Cover Screen, and a left-side review pane so shots can be compared without leaving the camera.

Dimensity 9500 Super Edition and Dual Displays

Performance rests on a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition platform that vivo co-developed for this foldable, working with an Ultra-Efficient Concurrent Engine that balances graphics processing against power draw.

The ZEISS Master Color Display splits into an 8.02-inch inner panel using Samsung M14 material and a 6.51-inch cover screen using BOE Q11 material, both with 8T-LTPO backplanes.

Both run a 1-120 Hz adaptive refresh rate with up to 5,000 nits of local peak brightness and a 1 nit floor for night viewing. A 1+4 Communication Chipset handles cellular and Wi-Fi stability.

vivo has not announced Philippine pricing or availability for the vivo X Fold6, so local buyers will have to wait for the company’s regional rollout plans before planning a purchase.

Gadget Pilipinas covered the vivo X Fold6 China launch details when the company first confirmed the hardware, and vivo keeps its own announcements on the official vivo newsroom.
