A 7,500mAh battery with 45W charging
Both models in the REDMI 17 Series carry a 7,500mAh battery. Xiaomi rates the REDMI 17 at up to 28 hours of video playback, 91 hours of music playback, or 46 hours of calling. The REDMI 17 5G is rated at up to 28 hours of local video playback, 109 hours of music playback through Bluetooth earphones, and 53 hours of calling.
Both devices support 45W turbo charging, which Xiaomi says brings the battery back to full capacity in about 96 minutes, while a 35-minute charge is rated to cover a typical day of use. Wired reverse charging at 22.5W lets the phone share power with compatible accessories and devices.
A 6.9-inch 120Hz display and stereo speakers
The REDMI 17 Series uses a 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate that adjusts between 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz for smoother scrolling while managing power consumption. Triple TÜV Rheinland certifications and DC dimming are included for longer viewing sessions, and dual stereo speakers offer up to 300% volume boost.
Durability and design
Corning Gorilla Glass 7i covers the screen with improved scratch and drop protection, an IP64 rating guards against dust and splashes, and Wet Touch Technology keeps the display responsive when fingers are damp. The phones are not designed for underwater use. The design uses a flat display, a matte frame, and refined camera detailing.
Color options for the REDMI 17 Series differ by model. The REDMI 17 comes in Black, Deep Blue, Oak Green, and Lotus Purple, while the REDMI 17 5G is available in Black, Deep Blue, and Vivid Orange, with the Vivid Orange variant finished in PU leather for a softer grip.
